In Amsterdam, a sad event happened. The engine’s head gasket breakdown is not a trivial outage, those who know, will understand me. Therefore, though Amsterdam is a beautiful city,
we were mainly busy. I was disassembling the engine,
while Lena was fixing the sails.
Doing this, we so much wanted to catch huge fish that were swimming right under our boat.
We were greatly delayed, so we headed straight to France – fortunately, the fine weather helped us.
The tricolor flags of France and the Netherlands look almost alike but for the position of the bands.
Maybe, we didn’t need to replace them?
If you pass Le Havre, just pass by, for the only sight worth to see in the city is a huge St. Joseph’s church built of concrete.
However, we didn’t pass by – there was nothing to see, but a meal was delicious.
We crossed the 0th meridian!
Lena even had a swim – the tradition can’t be broken.
The next stop is Cherbourg.
That’s quite a different place, starting from the marina, the entire town with its own streets. The city proper is genuine French streets,
Catholic churches
and, of course, a monument to a man wearing a tricorn and sitting on a horse.
Can you feel the peacefulness?
