At first, the weather during a three-day passage from Lisbon to Morocco did not make us happy. The sky was overcast by the coast of Portugal. However, that’s no obstacle for the reliable coverage of the GLONASS system. On November 21, 2011, our GLONASS navigator led us to the coast of Morocco, the vicinity of Casablanca, to the fishing port of Mohammedia.
Indicators of the State of GLONASS Satellites in the Port of Mohammedia, Morocco
The fishing port of Mohammedia with its single pantone for yachts met us with rain and a cool gusty wind. Nevertheless, we felt the smell of Africa even in the rain. Mohammedia is a most boring town so if you pass it, pass it by without any regret. The GLONASS navigator correctly shows our position and tracks our way.
